Sils im Domleschg Youth Hostel, Ehrenfels Castle: a charming experience

Welcome to Sils im Domleschg Youth Hostel, Ehrenfels Castle!

Our group accommodation is located in Sils im Domleschg, a beautiful place in the middle of the forest with a view over the whole of Domleschg. Ehrenfels Castle is a historic building from the 13th century. It offers space for up to 39 people.

The sleeping areas are divided as follows: There is one room with 3 beds, one room with 1+1 bunk beds, one room with 5 beds, one room with 3 bunk beds, one room with 4 bunk beds, one room with 5+1 bunk beds and one room with 2 beds. There is also a castle suite with 2 beds, private bathroom and balcony.

The sanitary facilities are well equipped. There are 7 toilets, washrooms, group showers and individual showers. The multi-bed rooms have a shared shower/WC/bathroom, while the castle suite has its own bathroom with shower/WC/bathroom.

You will find everything you need for cooking in the well-equipped self-catering kitchen. There is an electric stove, an oven (electric and wood), a refrigerator (500 liters) and a freezer (250 liters). There is also a dishwasher, crockery, cooking utensils, kitchen linen and a storeroom.

The area surrounding the youth hostel offers many opportunities for leisure activities. There is a fireplace with a barbecue, a table and benches in the forest, an inner courtyard with a wood-burning oven and climbing rock as well as various seating areas, a labyrinth and a ping-pong table around the castle. There is table football, various board games and table tennis in the house. Nearby there is a playground, a football pitch, nature reserves, horse riding, a Vita course and woods for games.

For excursions, we recommend the Domleschg Castle Trail, where you can explore various castles and palaces. The Viamala gorge, Roffla gorge, Nolla and Zillis church with its painted ceiling are also worth a visit. If you are planning a special event, you can reserve Ehrenfels Castle as a backdrop for wedding receptions or birthday parties.

The infrastructure includes shower towels, bed linen, a climbing wall, table football, table tennis, a labyrinth, a theater room, a toilet and a playroom
