Welcome to the Pfadiheim Rauti in Näfels! Our group accommodation is located in a picturesque area between two mountain ranges in the canton of Glarus. The nearest bus stop and a large shopping center are only 550 m from our house. By car it is only 2 km to the freeway access road and parking spaces are available directly in front of the Scouts’ Home.
In the surrounding area there are numerous opportunities for games and activities. The Klosterturnhalle sports field offers enough space and in Näfels there is a sports center with indoor swimming pool, climbing and bouldering hall and a skate park. The Freuler Palace is also worth a visit. For excursions we recommend the Obersee valley with a small mountain pool, the Klön valley, the Kerenzerberg or the Walensee region.
Our scout dormitory offers 32 sleeping places distributed in 3 rooms. There is a modern and well-equipped kitchen and a large common room ideal for courses. In addition, there is a ladder room and a cozy “Rover-Stübli” With fireplace. The heaters provide pleasant warmth and the wet cells were renovated. Wi-Fi access is included and good shopping facilities are nearby.
The prices for scout departments are CHF 11.- per person and night, for schools, clubs and private groups CHF 18.- per person per night. There is also the possibility of renting the Scouts’ Home for events, for which a flat rate of CHF 400 applies.-. The occupancy tax is CHF 50.- without kitchen and the daily rate for clubs with kitchen is CHF 100.-.
