Experience nature at the Camp Rock group house

Welcome to the Camp Rock group house!

The Camp Rock group house is a youth camp house with 97 beds and is idyllically nestled in the countryside directly on the River Sitter. During the school vacations, we offer our own camps for children aged 9-12 and teenagers aged 13-16. In the meantime, we accommodate groups of guests from all over Switzerland, mainly school camps. Camp Rock was opened in 1994 by Andy and Esther Salathé and is run by a dedicated team of staff.

Our warehouse offers a wide range of sports activities that are already included in the price. Additional offers can be booked at a reasonable price. Guests and employees work with us “Hand in hand” together. The camp house is always rented out on a full-board basis, but we are not a hotel. Our young guests help us with the washing up and other chores.

We attach great importance to benevolent cooperation with transparent agreements and clear communication. We have therefore put together a guest folder in which you will find all the important information.

Our warehouse was built and furnished especially for young people. It offers a variety of leisure activities such as sports equipment, billiards, table football, table tennis, a dinghy on the Sitter, a campfire and much more – all included in the price. We also offer various outdoor activities such as climbing, a team-building course and a guided tour of the nature reserve. You can book one of these activities free of charge. You can also book our rope course, abseiling and much more besides.

Our full board includes delicious, fresh and wholesome meals that are tailored to the age of the participants. We also offer the opportunity for lunch and a barbecue. We offer planning aids, clear communication, agreements, house rules and contracts to enable you to plan and run your camp without stress. Our competent staff will accompany and look after you during your stay.

The camp house has various rooms such as a dining room that can be divided into two parts, a pub called McRock, a group room and the Grand Canyon. We also offer sleeping accommodation in various rooms, each equipped with beds. The wet rooms include showers, washrooms and toilets. Facilities for the disabled are also available.

There are various leisure activities available to you, including table football, billiards, board games and technical equipment such as a projector and DVD player. The spacious outdoor area of the warehouse offers covered bicycle racks, a play area
