The youth hostel offers space for a total of 44 people and has various room categories, including double rooms, family rooms and multi-bed rooms. All rooms are equipped with a washbasin. You will find hot and cold water and plenty of toilets in the communal sanitary facilities. Unfortunately, the kitchen is not available, but there are many restaurants and cafés in the area where you can enjoy regional specialties.

Leissigen Youth Hostel also offers a wide range of leisure activities. You can swim in the lake right outside the door and relax on the hotel’s own pebble beach. There is table tennis in the house and you can play mini golf in the village. A sports hall is available for sports enthusiasts. If you are planning excursions, there are many interesting places to discover in the surrounding area, such as the Niesen, the Stockhorn and Spiez Castle. The towns of Interlaken and Thun are also worth a visit.

Leissigen Youth Hostel is a historic chalet-style building and was once the summer residence of Ovomaltine inventor Dr. Albert Wander. The house offers a magnificent view of Lake Thun and the Bernese Alps. The youth hostel is wheelchair-accessible and easily reached by public transport. There is limited parking available at the house for a fee. WLAN is available free of charge in the public areas.
