Welcome to Mariastein Youth Hostel, Rotberg Castle!
Our youth hostel is located in the idyllic municipality of Mariastein-Rotberg in the beautiful canton of Solothurn. Rotberg Castle is a historic building and can accommodate a total of 78 guests.
The accommodation has various room categories, including 2-bed rooms with washbasin, a tower room with 2 beds and multi-bed rooms with up to 14 beds. The sleeping areas are comfortably furnished and equipped with pillows, blankets and fitted sheets. Some rooms have their own washbasin.
The youth hostel also has many communal areas, such as the dining room, the lounge (also suitable for disco evenings), the Knights’ Hall with fireplace and the inner courtyard with fountain, stage and bar. Here guests can relax, play games or simply enjoy the atmosphere.
The sanitary facilities were renovated in 2018 and offer hot and cold water. There are a total of 8 toilets, 4 washrooms and 4 individual showers.
The fully equipped kitchen has everything you need to prepare meals. There is an electric hob, an oven and plenty of space for food storage. The adjoining group and dining room offers space for communal meals.
The area surrounding the youth hostel offers numerous opportunities for activities. There is a playground, a fireplace with barbecue and a forest where you can play and explore nature. There are also opportunities for mountain biking, horse riding and swimming in the region.
