Burgdorf Castle Youth Hostel: comfort and hospitality

Welcome to Burgdorf Castle Youth Hostel! Our group accommodation offers space for up to 115 guests all year round. You can feel at home in our double, family and multi-bed rooms with 4 and 6 beds. Our spacious lounges invite you to get to know other guests. Breakfast is included in the accommodation price and is served in the Schloss Burgdorf restaurant. At lunchtime we offer a small self-service menu and in the evening you can choose between a menu of the day or à la carte. Admission to the new museum is also included in the price.

In addition to families and individual travelers, we also welcome schools, groups and companies. We offer suitable rooms for seminars, courses, training sessions, weddings and family celebrations. Find out about our events and offers.

The youth hostel is located in idyllic Burgdorf and is easily accessible. You can easily reach us by bus or train. From Burgdorf train station, take bus 461 in the direction of Burgdorf, City and get off after 3 stops at Burgdorf, Kronenplatz. From there, walk east along Schlossgässli for about 4 minutes until you reach the castle.

If you are traveling by car, please note that the castle is not accessible by car. Use the nearest parking garage Oberstadt. From the A1/E25, take exit 39 in the direction of Kirchberg/Langnau i.E./Burgdorf/Alchenflüh. At the traffic circle take the second exit in the direction of Langnau i.E./Burgdorf and continue following the signs. Drive around the old town and the castle until you see the signs on the left towards the Oberstadt parking garage and the castle. From the parking garage you can reach the castle in less than 7 minutes on foot.
