Welcome to the Birchi Scouts’ Home in Säriswil! Our cozy scout dormitory offers space for up to 24 people and is the ideal group accommodation for your vacations. The house is located in a quiet location on the outskirts of the village and is surrounded by family houses. Due to the proximity to nature you can relax and unwind here in peace and quiet.
The Birchi Scouts’ Home has two dormitories with a total of 21 mattresses. Please bring your own sleeping bags and fitted sheets so you feel at home. The kitchen was renovated in summer 2015 and is equipped with everything you need for self-catering. Crockery and cutlery for up to 30 people are available.
In the surroundings of the scout home there are numerous possibilities for activities. Directly in front of the door there is a stream where you can refresh yourself. In addition, there are several forests in the immediate vicinity, which invite you to play and explore. In the village of Säriswil, only approx. 600 meters away, you will find a school playground, a soccer field and a gymnasium.
For excursions in the surrounding area, we recommend the Frienisberg region, the Bern region and Lake Wohlensee. There are numerous opportunities for recreational activities such as hiking, swimming and nature experiences there. Nearby are also a Solbad & Spa in Schönbühl and the Bernaqua Westside.
The Birchi Scouts’ Home is wheelchair accessible and also easily accessible by car. Parking spaces are available for 1-3 cars directly at the house, further parking spaces are located in approx. 150 meters away at the “Grass drying plant Birchi”. Arrival by public transport is also possible. From the train station in Bern you can reach the Pfadiheim by post bus in only 20 minutes.
